Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (“SEAF”) is an impact investing firm that provides growth capital and business assistance to SMEs in emerging and transitioning markets underserved by traditional sources of capital. Its partner organization, Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (“CEED”), provides entrepreneurs and their executive teams the know-how and networks they need to accelerate the growth of their businesses and to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the broader society. SEAF Data Management Intern

Job Summary
The Data Management intern will help develop and manage SEAF’s data collection, analysis and reporting programs. The intern will work closely with SEAF’s portfolio management team to support efficient collection and input of SEAF performance data as well as specific activities to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the portfolio management framework. The intern will be responsible for assisting in the data processing, analysis, visualization, and reporting around key priorities and custom projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with data collection, aggregation, and analysis
• Assist with data management and cleaning
• Administrative support tasks as needed
• Assist in writing of reports to share findings

 

Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in data analysis, monitoring & evaluation.
• High level of computer literacy and attention to detail are required.
• Committed to SEAF’s mission of creating entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging and frontier markets.
• Entrepreneurial work style, ability to work independently, think creatively, and identify resources to get the job done.

SEAF Impact Intern

Job Summary
The intern will help SEAF manage and organize its impact efforts. The intern will help SEAF Headquarters gather impact data from its local offices across four continents. The intern will work to deduce patterns and create narratives around the firm’s core impact themes. The role also entails conducting research on social impact metrics, and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with impact data collection and analysis
• Conduct research and prepare reports on social impact, metrics and best practices in the industry
• Assist with any additional impact related projects or administrative support tasks

Qualifications
• Committed to SEAF’s mission of creating entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging and frontier markets
• Entrepreneurial work style, ability to work independently, think creatively, and identify resources to get the job done
• Proficient in Excel, attentive to detail and experience

SEAF Marketing Intern

Job Summary
The intern will help SEAF manage its marketing efforts. The intern will assist with managing and generating content for SEAF’s website, social media accounts, and general marketing materials to engage our various audiences. The intern will also assist with internal communication projects, and work to create case studies of SEAF investments, both past and present.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with drafting internal newsletters, press releases, blog posts and other content
• Conduct research on portfolio companies to create case studies
• Help manage social media platforms
• Assist with any additional marketing related projects or administrative support tasks

Qualifications
• Experience working in marketing, public relations or communications
• Excellent written communication skills
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Spark) a plus, but not required

• Entrepreneurial work style, ability to work independently, think creatively, and identify resources to get the job done
