SEAF announces that David Mathewson has joined SEAF as President

SEAF announces that David Mathewson has joined the firm in the role of President. In addition to his role as President, David will chair SEAF’s Global Investment Committee and senior management team and support SEAF CEO Bert van der Vaart in overseeing the strategic development and operations of SEAF. “David’s arrival will help us greatly enhance our capacity for new funds, post investment performance and the optimization of SEAF’s global network”, stated Mr. van der Vaart. “He is committed to making SEAF the leading institutional quality impact investment firm.”

David is an experienced industry executive with more than 25 years of work in emerging market finance. Prior to joining SEAF, Mr. Mathewson had partnered with Delphos International to pursue opportunistic investments in emerging market private equity transactions and impact investment funds. He has also held management and investment management roles at Darby Private Equity/Franklin Templeton, Soros Fund Management LLC, Delphos International/Banc One Capital Markets, KPMG Barents Group, and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.

Mr. Mathewson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Economics, with distinction, from Stanford University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a Master of Management degree from J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
