SAVE THE DATE! Upcoming SEAF Training

SAVE THE DATE! SEAF announces it will have a course this June (“So You Want To Start a Fund?”) that will target mission-driven organizations that want to launch or sustainably scale an impact investing fund. The course’s objective will be to increase the basic understanding on how to conceive, design/structure and successfully raise capital for a new or expanded fund. This SEAF initiative is in response to the rapid and substantial rise in interest and actual initiatives in this area. The 2.5 day high energy, interactive training will be on June 11-13, 2018 and will be done in collaboration with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs.

This training will leverage SEAF’s 29 years of experience in impact investing through 38 funds in emerging and underserved markets, of which numerous funds have used a blended finance approach (i.e. leveraging donor funds). Bob Webster, a SEAF Managing Director of several SEAF funds and an internationally-recognized trainer in impact investing (ANDE, GIIN, Harvard Business School, Santa Clara University), will lead the course with other legal and impact investing experts contributing. The training will be in Washington, D.C. at the conference facilities of the law firm of Steptoe. Stay tuned for further details!
