SEAF Impact Fund Manager Training June 2018- Registration is Open

Registration is now open for the June 11-13, 2018 SEAF training session for emerging impact fund managers. The sessions will be led by SEAF Managing Director Bob Webster, an experienced impact investor. To register, visit the following Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/so-you-want-to-start-an-impact-fund-tickets-44454952961.

“So You Want To Start an Impact Fund!” is for mission-driven organizations that want to launch or scale a fund to invest in emerging market companies or social enterprises for financial return and social impact. The course objective is to increase the basic understanding on how to conceive, design/structure and successfully raise capital for a new or expanded fund, with a goal of ultimately having an economically sustainable fund.

The trainers are experienced in impact fund launches and management, including those with NGOs that began with donor funds and looked to scale. Participants will learn from the journeys of Mercy Corps, Rare and SEAF itself on fund conception, getting internal buy-in, fundraising, making pivots and managing to a long-term vision.

The 2.5 day high energy, interactive training will be on June 11-13, 2018 in Washington, D.C. and will be done in collaboration with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs and Steptoe Law Offices. This training will leverage SEAF’s 29 years of experience in impact investing through 38 funds in emerging and underserved markets, of which numerous funds have used a blended finance approach (i.e. leveraging donor funds).

Be sure to catch the early bird registration by April 25th!
