Kate joined SEAF in the fall of 2015, initially as a legal consultant, and then as an employee in the spring of 2016 as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Kate provides SEAF with legal advice, guidance, and support on a broad array of matters involving human capital, development in emerging markets, partnership agreements, corporate best practices, litigation, grants, and administrative law. Prior to joining SEAF, Kate practiced IP litigation before the International Trade Commission with a boutique DC law firm. Kate has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law and a Master’s in International Relations (Global Development) from American University.
